Back in 2007 when Aksels (pronounced Axel’s) was founded, you could say it fell into the stereotypical, “selling t-shirts out of the trunk of your car” category, but since then, it has progressed from the trunk, to the basement, to a storage room, and in 2012, a Downtown Denver office/showroom. We started by screen printing a handful of designs on t-shirts, one of which had a Colorado flag inspired design and that was the front runner pretty quick, thus leading us down a path of owning and dominating the Colorado flag category, as well as expanding to other state flags.

While we started with just tees, we expanded into the hat space, which was a big milestone for us, and then we added socks to our game, and have not looked back since. Of course we are biased, but we would challenge you to find a pair of more comfortable socks, not to mention, ones that will have you winning any cool sock challenge out there!

While design is important, quality has always been first and foremost in our minds. That combined with relentless customer support for both wholesale and retail customers, has proven to be a successful equation with the continued hope of providing more awesome in everyone’s lives!

In May of 2023, the time had come to hand off the reins to a team with a much larger ship in our industry and thus, we were acquired by Lakeshirts!

We could not have teamed up with a better company to help elevate Aksels to the next level and beyond! Lakeshirts culture and ours truly fit like a glove.
